Golden beach Amusement Park金沙滩游乐园
Xianghu area is so beautiful, and right next to the lake there is an open-air swimming pool with a beach and parasols, a great spot for rest and rejuvenation away from Hangzhou’s hot summer sun. It is the perfect place to bring kids to play in the sand, have a swim and to enjoy some family time. The entrance ticket is free for children under 1.2m tall and 20 RMB for adults. Open hours are from 9:00 to 17:00.
Hangzhou Senbo Holiday Paradise Park 杭州开元森泊度假乐园
Hangzhou Senbo holiday paradise park (not too far from Xianghu metro station) is a big water park, with an indoor area that stays open during winter. The entire park is in the style of a tropical rainforest and includes indoor heated pools, outdoor pools, children’s play areas, indoor gardens, electronic game rooms, cafeterias and hotels. It is the perfect place to spend a fun family day. Single day tickets for adults are around 200 RMB, but there are a variety of packages available for small to large groups. Opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00.
Hangzhou Valley Scenic Spot 杭州宝寿山景区
This Hangzhou beach is a real oasis lost between the Xiao He Mountains at the North East of Hangzhou and covers an area of around 650 acres. Palms and golden sands surrounded by the greenery of Zhejiang Province, it is a really cool spot to chill and have a swim during the hotter days of summer. It is around 20 kilometres from the city centre, but easy to reach by taxi and public buses arriving at the Xiao He Mountain station (小和山公交站). The entrance fee to this park is 29 RMB for those who don’t want to swim, and 54 RMB to swim in the permitted areas. It is also possible to rent a kayak for 30 RMB per hour or a pedal boat for 50 RMB per hour. Barbecue renting is also available for 120 RMB. Opening hours are from 9:00 to 18:00.
Thousand Island Lake Water Park 千岛湖欢乐水世界
Thousand Island Lake is only one hour away from Hangzhou by train. If you plan to have a one-day escape from the city in summer, this place is perfect. The natural areas surrounding the lake are stunning; take a long, enjoyable walk and take in the some of the best natural scenery
that Zhejiang province has to offer. It is possible to swim, rent a jet ski, as well as many other kinds of water sports, all in a wonderful atmosphere. The entrance ticket is around 160 RMB, but additional activities will vary in price. Opening hours are from 8:30 until 17:00.
